Through her experience, Colleen has observed how people get stuck in their interpersonal relationships due to poor communication. This difficulty often results in stress and conflict in intimate partner relationships, family relationships, friendships, and sexual connections. Colleen is excited to help her clients create healthy relationships and increase intimacy by establishing effective, honest, and healthy forms of communication.
In therapy, Colleen emphasizes the importance of working together as a team to create a better life for you. She will encourage you to broaden your thinking and help you see things in ways you haven’t before. Colleen firmly believes you are the navigator of your life, and through your work together, she will empower you to use tools to be the decision-maker of your life and live the life you have always wanted!
Colleen’s therapeutic work combines Emotion-Focused Therapy, the Gottman Method, and CBT. She strives to help her clients use their thoughts and emotions better to understand their experience and their loved one’s experience, thereby fostering a more intimate connection. Colleen also works from a systemic lens because she believes every aspect of a person’s life is interconnected.
